The Milwaukee Common Council is preparing to vote on changing a street named after Cesar Chavez.
The public works committee voted yesterday to drop the famous labor leader’s name and change it to South 16th Street.
The vote by the full council will take place on April 21st.
The move comes after allegations surfaced that Cesar Chavez sexually assaulted women and minors while he led the United Farm Workers of America.
Other cities and states around the country have been making similar adjustments following the report.
