Manitowoc and Two Rivers are being featured in a Wisconsin business publication.
Insight on Business has written an article about development on the former Mirro site and mall property, and the current community visioning process for the former Hamilton Manufacturing site.
The article says there were many questions about Manitowoc’s future after Mirro and Manitowoc Company left.
But Mayor Justin Nickels says work on both sites and the construction of more housing are signs that Clipper City is starting to see an uptick in population.
On the Two Rivers side, Community Development Director Jeff Sachse discusses residents’ desire for a mix of housing, retail, and hospitality on the former Hamilton site.
Sachse says the city wants to create a “calling card” that can attract the right development partners when the property is ready to come to market.
