The Manitowoc Lincoln girls’ softball team continues a busy opening week of the season as they play host to the Pulaski Red Raiders in an FRCC contest at Citizens’ Park.
The Ships have split a pair of games this week, dropping their season opener on Monday to Fond Du Lac 2-1, then bouncing back to defeat Sheboygan North 18-4 in their conference opener on Tuesday.
This is the FRCC opener for Pulaski, who head to town having defeated Wausau West and Wausau East back on March 27th, but haven’t played since.
The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 4:30 p.m. Elsewhere in girls’ softball, Valders looks to start the season 2 and 0 as they host Roncalli in their home opener.
The Vikings defeated Sheboygan Falls/Kohler in their season opener Tuesday, while the Jets opened their season falling to Kiel Tuesday afternoon by a score of 13-4.
Speaking of Kiel, the Raiders are home for the Brillion Lions, who picked up an impressive victory over Chilton Tuesday.
The defending Division Four state champion Mishicot Indians have their home opener against Sevastopol, and the Reedsville Panthers, second to Mishicot in the Big East North last season, open their season at home against Oconto.
