Bond and charges have been formally filed in Outagamie County for a man accused of attempting to kill his estranged wife.
Court records show that 47-year-old Nicholas N. Grundman was present for his bail hearing on Monday (April 6th) where he was given a $1 million cash bail.
This comes as he faces charges of First Degree Attempted Homicide, Arson, Stalking, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and three counts of Criminal Damage to Property.
Grundman was taken into custody after an investigation revealed that he intentionally started a house fire in the Village of Greenfield on March 19th.
FOX11 reports that the 47-year-old dumped gasoline inside the garage and around the home of his estranged wife before setting the fuel ablaze.
A criminal complaint continues to say that his estranged wife recently filed for divorce and kicked him out of the house, and, prior to setting the fire, he harassed her via text messages and phone calls.
When being interviewed by authorities, Grundman eventually confessed to starting the fire.
He is next due in court for his preliminary hearing on April 14th at 4:00 p.m.
