The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents could move to fire the system president.
A hearing has been scheduled today to determine the fate of President Jay Rotham, who has reportedly refused an offer to resign quietly from his post.
Rothman wrote a letter to the regents saying he wouldn’t step down unless he was given a reason for the resignation request.
Regents president Amy Bogost said Rothman “was not without notice” and said the process didn’t suddenly evolve.
She argued that there has been communication between the two sides over the course of several months.
