Election day has arrived, and here is what’s on the ballot in Sheboygan County.
In the City of Sheboygan, there are contested races for two seats on the Common Council, including District 2 and District 8, while Districts 4 and 6 feature Alder Alanza Grawien and Dean Dekker, who are running unopposed.
The District 2 race pits incumbent John Belanger up against challenger Erin Bremser, while District 8 residents will have a new representative on the Common Council after current Alder Zach Rust decided not to seek reelection. Residents will now be asked to choose between candidates Peter Jacobs and Bryan Kelly to represent them.
Additionally, there are three candidates running for three seats on the Sheboygan Area School District Board of Education, with incumbents Kay Robbins, Sarah Ruiz-Harrison, and Heidi Boehmer seeking to retain their seats.
On the county level, all 25 spots on the Board of Supervisors are up for election, however, only the District 7 seat is contested, with incumbent Edward Procek facing off with challenger Drew Phillips.
There will be one race featured on every ballot in the county, as well as the state, pitting Judge Chris Taylor against Judge Maria Lazar for a spot on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Polls opened at 7:00 a.m.
