A child was rescued from a Little Chute retention pond over the weekend.
Lieutenant Mark Wery with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department reports that officers were called to the 2200 block of Golden Gate Drive in the Village of Little Chute at around 6:00 Sunday evening (April 5th) on a report of an individual who had gone under the water.
The first officers on the scene were able to rescue the juvenile from the water, and lifesaving measures were immediately administered.
The child was later transported to a local hospital via ambulance and was said to be in stable condition.
The name, age, and gender of the child are not being released out of respect for the family.
Lt. Wery thanked the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Little Chute Fire Department, Kimberly Fire Department, Combined Locks Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance Service, and First Responders from the Village of Kimberly, Combined Locks, and the Town of Buchanan for their help on the scene.
