A garage and a vehicle parked at a Green Bay home were destroyed in a fire over the weekend.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to the 800 block of North Buchanan Street at 4:45 Sunday morning after a passerby noticed a garage was on fire.
The passerby also warned the residents of the home, allowing them to safely evacuate.
The fire was extinguished within ten minutes of the fire crews’ arrival, and no injuries were reported.
Crews remained on the scene for about an hour and a half to conduct overhaul operations and to ensure there were no hot spots.
While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, it was estimated to have caused around $100,000 in damage.
The residents were not displaced.
