There are a few local and area sporting events on the calendar for today.
In High School baseball, Manitowoc Lincoln opens their season hosting the Winneconne Wolves at Bruce Steibecker Field.
The Ships had their season opener at Kewaunee postponed yesterday, while the Wolves opened their season with a 5-4 victory over Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay on Tuesday.
The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 4:30 p.m.
The only other baseball on the schedule has West De Pere playing a doubleheader at Mitchell High School in Indiana.
The Phantoms will play Bedford North Lawrence High School of Indiana at 5:00 p.m., followed by a game with the host Mitchell Bluejackets at 7:00 p.m.
In girls’ soccer, Sheboygan Falls hosts the co-op of North Fond Du Lac/Oakfield, and Wrightstown plays Waterford at Capital Credit Union Park in Green Bay.
