Titanic Docked
The topic at a monthly event for the Wisconsin Maritime Museum will be one of, if not the worst, maritime disasters in the world.
This month’s topic for the museum’s Think and Drink will be about the maiden voyage of the “unsinkable” RMS Titanic.
It takes place tonight at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.
Maritime Archaeologist Caitlin Zant will retell the story of the tragedy of the infamous disaster and how it unfolded through a complicated series of events, decisions, and mechanical failures.
Zant is the Research and Communications Specialist with NOAA’s Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary and has led numerous Great Lakes archaeological projects, public presentations, and outreach events.
She’s also a leading voice in the preservation of underwater heritage sites.
