Eastern Wisconsin gas prices are getting ever closer to the $4 mark for the first time in four years.
Manitowoc County’s average price per regular unleaded fuel was reported to be $3.81 this morning on the AAA Gas Prices website, which is a 12-cent jump from this time last week.
This is also the highest average in Manitowoc County since November 2022. Sheboygan and Calumet Counties also reported 12-cent jumps to $3.83 and $3.81, respectively, while Outagamie County saw the smallest change.
Their price at the pump rose 8 cents to $3.74, which is also the least expensive fuel in the area.
Brown County saw a jump of 13 cents to $3.81, Kewaunee County motorists are also paying 12 cents more per gallon with an average of $3.79, and Door County’s increase of 9 cents per gallon leaves its average at $3.79.
The state average also rose nine cents over the past week, coming in at $3.74, while the national average jumped 8 cents to $4.06.
