
Numerous area teachers have been honored for their work in the classroom.
The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation has announced its 2026 Teacher Fellowship and Principal Leadership recipients, featuring over 100 educators from across the state.
Locally, five teachers were honored, and two were recognized as Principal Leaders. David Miller of Sheboygan North High School, Abbie Van Grinsven of the Hilbert School District, Chilton Area Catholic School’s Sabrina Holden, Dawn Shimek from Mishicot High School, and Plymouth High School’s Ryan Krippendorf have all been named 2026 Herb Kohl Teacher Fellows.
Cedar Grove-Belgium Elementary Principal Jeff Kondrakieicz and Chilton Area Catholic School Principal Samantha Meyers were also honored.
With this distinction, all recipients will receive $6,000 in addition to a $6,000 matching grant to each of their schools.
