Hours at Manitowoc County’s Recycling Center compost sites are changing again.
Operations Manager Jon Reisenbuechler explains that beginning on Wednesday (April 1st), the Basswood Road site will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., while the Woodland Drive site will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Also starting on April 4th, the Recycling Center office will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
The compost sites will accept items such as brush, leaves, grass and lawn clippings, wood chips, and other materials.
Some items not accepted include logs and stumps with soil attached, and construction and demolition waste, among others.
