The City of Two Rivers is highlighting a new trail connection project.
In their Cool City Connect Newsletter, the city announced that they want to make the area from the Kozlowski parking lot to the Mariners Trail, and the surrounding areas, safer.
Pedestrians and cyclists often have to navigate around vehicles or find their own path to connect to the system.
This year, Two Rivers will construct a new paved trail segment that creates a direct, clearly defined connection between the parking area and the existing trail network.
That would mean safer access for families, more predictable cycling, and fewer conflicts between trail users and vehicles.
City staff explained that the project is more about one connection than about the broader effort to strengthen how everything in the Cool City ties together.
The improvement will cost $22,000 and is funded as part of the city’s 2026 capital borrowing cycle for regular community investment, which this year is just over $2.2 million.
The city finishes explaining that making these smaller investments makes the everyday experience in Two Rivers just a little bit better.
