A woman charged with firing a gun in the area in Manitowoc last year is still waiting for her competency hearing to be held.
41-year-old Amy Duerwaechter was scheduled to have the hearing on Wednesday morning, but the evaluator was unable to reach her due to phone issues.
Judge Jerilyn Dietz adjourned the hearing for now, hoping the evaluator can get in touch with the defendant. Duerwaechter will return to court on May 4th for the competency hearing in her case.
Manitowoc Police were called to the 1600 block of Galax Drive for a weapons call back in April last year.
Police say the 41-year-old would then admit to firing a shot into the air behind her residence while telling someone to get out.
Video surveillance would show that Duerwaechter chased the person out of her home and pointed the weapon at the victim.
She is facing charges of 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, two counts of intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, and disorderly conduct.
