A house in the town of Kaukauna was completely destroyed in a fire over the weekend.
The Vandenbroek-Kaukauna Fire Department was called to the residence at N2047 Country Road J just after 6:30 last Friday morning (March 20th1), after a passerby saw smoke coming from the residence.
The Caller attempted to make contact at the door, but received no answer.
Fire crews quickly arrived and made entry for a search.
Two such searches were conducted, but they were hindered by a “significant amount of personal contents obstructing access.”
It was confirmed that no one was home, but after four hours on scene, the house was deemed a total loss.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
