The City of Manitowoc has approved a statement for future work around the Manitowoc River Harbor.
City documents show that the 2027-2029 Three-Year Harbor Development Statement is required to have project intentions that intend to apply for federal or state aid for harbor-related work of any type within the next three years.
There are eight areas where work needs to be done to keep commercial transportation moving, including the continued expansion of a concrete assembly platform for City Centre to get large load-outs, as well as three projects for the Burger Boat Company.
They include sea wall modification, dock wall, shore, lighting refurbishments, and dredging.
Other projects would be done at the Manitowoc Marina, the SS Badger Dock, and the Port of Manitowoc, among others.
