
The stepmother of a teen who was severely neglected and malnourished in Outagamie County will be going on trial in May.
FOX11 reports that 51-year-old Melissa Goodman is due for a pre-trial conference on April 14th ahead of her May 9th trial as she faces five counts of Chronic Neglect of a Child.
Three of those charges have a tag of Consequence is Great Bodily Harm, while the other two are tagged with Consequence is Emotional Damage.
She, along with the 14-year-old victim’s father, Walter Goodman, Melissa’s daughter, Savana LeFever, and LeFever’s partner, Kayla Stemler, were all arrested after the girl was found to be weighing only 40 pounds.
Walter is due for a status conference in May, while LeFever is due for a status conference on April 20. Stemer will be going on trial starting on July 17th.
