
After hitting five-year lows just two months ago, Eastern Wisconsin gas prices have surged to the highest point in the past three years.
As reported on the AAA Gas Prices website, Manitowoc County’s average price per regular unleaded fuel rose a whopping 42 cents over the past week, now sitting at $3.60.
The last time Manitowoc County had gas prices that high was the fourth week of April in 2023.
Sheboygan County saw an even more drastic change, jumping 48 cents to $3.60, while Calumet County suffered the highest price in the area of $3.64 after an increase of 46 cents.
Outagamie County motorists are paying 35 cents more per gallon this week, with an average of $3.56, while Brown County’s 28-cent jump leaves their average $3.58.
Kewaunee County saw a jump of 36 cents, leaving the average at $3.63, while Door County actually has the least expensive fuel in the area at $3.59 following an increase of 30 cents.
The state average is up 38 cents from last week to $3.58, while the national average is at $3.88 after a jump of 31 cents.
