Governor Tony Evers has signed legislation expanding postpartum BadgerCare coverage to 12 months from 60 days.
Gov. Evers signed the bill yesterday at Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Advocates say the expansion will help women continue to get care, medication, and follow-up treatment after they give birth.
The new law leaves Arkansas as the only state left that has not expanded the postpartum Medicaid coverage.
