
The Brown County OWI Task Force has reported another successful weekend of work.
The OWI Task Force was deployed across the county this past Friday (March 13th) and Saturday (March 14th), resulting in 39 total stops.
Of those 39 stops, authorities issued 11 OWI Citations and 60 other citations.
The other citations included offenses such as open intoxicants, speeding, registration violations, and equipment violations.
Law enforcement officers also made one drug arrest, one felony arrest, and one arrest linked to a warrant.
The Brown County OWI Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional operation that was grant-funded in order to educate drivers on safe transportation practices and to reduce dangerous driving behaviors.
The OWI Task Force also hit the streets of Brown County on St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday (March 17th).
However, numbers are yet to be reported from their work on the mid-week holiday.
Agencies participating in the OWI Task Force include Ashwaubenon Public Safety, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Green Bay, De Pere, Hobart/Lawrence, Oneida, Village of Pulaski, UW-Green Bay, and Wrightstown Police Departments, as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol.
