Two masked men were caught on camera hanging posters alongside the riverwalk near the USS Cobia.
The Wisconsin Maritime Museum learned of the signs Saturday afternoon from a passerby, and staff quickly had them removed.
While they did not specify what the signs said, they also noted, “The WMM does not condone the hateful messages on these posters.”
It is not known if the men have been caught or if a police investigation is underway.
