The owners of a Manitowoc restaurant announced their retirement.
Sue and Salvador Velasques, the owners of The Golden Flame Family Restaurant on Custer Street, made the announcement on their Facebook page on Sunday.
They say they are grateful to the generations of customers and the amazing staff who have supported them and made the place feel like family for so many years.
They also explained that right now, nothing will change, and they will continue to serve the great food with the same friendly service customers come to expect.
They finish saying, “Our hope is to find someone who will continue the traditions and community spirit that have made The Golden Flame so special. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us for over four decades.”
