A Menasha woman is in custody after a high-speed chase in Fond du Lac County.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department was notified on Wednesday evening (March 11th) that a pursuit in Dodge County was heading towards Fond du Lac on Interstate 41.
A Fond du Lac Deputy would eventually locate the suspect vehicle on County Road K, traveling at approximately 96 MPH.
The driver, a 23-year-old Menasha woman, failed to stop for the deputy’s emergency lights and siren, prompting yet another pursuit.
As the 23-year-old continued fleeing, a second deputy deployed stop sticks at the intersection of County Roads K and V.
The driver swerved out of the way to avoid the sticks, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch, cross back over the intersecting road, and roll over before coming to a stop.
A high-risk stop was then initiated, but the driver and the passenger, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, required assistance to exit the vehicle.
After they were removed and transported to an area hospital for minor injuries, both individuals were taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
The Menasha woman, who was on probation, has since been charged with Felony Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, Recklessly Endangering Safety, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance.
The passenger, a Milwaukee man who had a warrant for his arrest, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
