The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office appears to be considering legal action against funeral homes in debt.
The county recently gave approval for the examiner’s office to sue funeral homes that owe the agency tens of thousands of dollars.
Officials noted there is a list of 18 funeral homes that have more than $25,000 in debt, including seven that owe more than six figures.
Among the funeral homes on the list is Rozga Funeral and Cremation Services.
