Each of the two suspects in a January murder in Sheboygan are heading to trial.
Court records show that 18-year-old Lawrence S. Burford and 19-year-old Onterio M. Girley, both of Milwaukee, were bound over for trial by Judge Natasha Torry.
This comes in response to probable cause being found for both men after Buford pled not guilty to charges of First-Degree Intentional Homicide, Attempted First-Degree Intentional Homicide, Armed Robbery with Use of Force, and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Girley pled not guilty to one count of Felony Murder – Armed Robbery in late February.
Both teenagers were arrested for their alleged role in the fatal shooting that took the life of teenager Joseph Torres and severely injured an unnamed 18-year-old Sheboygan woman on January 17th.
Buford, in custody on a $1 million cash bail, returns to court for a scheduling conference on April 14th, while Girley, who is also in custody on a $500,000 cash bail, will return to Sheboygan County court for a pretrial conference on March 31st.
