Healthiest Manitowoc County calls 2025 another year of growth, teamwork, and progress.
The group released its 2025 progress report, saying they worked with more than 75 community organizations last year and continued moving forward with the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) using local data and community input to guide their work.
Healthiest Manitowoc County will continue to work on the plan this year before wrapping up and evaluating the work, and collecting new data by 2027.
They also highlighted their Public Health Vending Machine installed at the Northeast Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, which distributed 323 Narcan kits and 111 fentanyl testing strips from April through December.
Healthiest Manitowoc County also highlighted the success of their Breaking Barriers Panel Series before talking about looking ahead.
In their report this year, the group wants to host a sports equipment drive, continue their Breaking Barrier Panels, and create a campaign encouraging moderation or non-alcoholic options at local businesses or festivals to raise awareness that not everyone is a binge drinker.
