One of the four suspects in a serious child abuse case in Outagamie County has entered their plea.
Court records show that 30-year-old Savanna LeFever pleaded not guilty to all charges she faces in connection with the neglect of a 14-year-old child who was just 35 pounds when she was rescued from her home last year.
LeFever has been charged with five felony counts of Chronic Neglect of a Child, with three listed as Consequence is Great Bodily Harm and two as Consequence is Emotional Damage.
The 30-year-old is one of four individuals charged in the case, including the child’s father, Walter Goodman, his wife, and LeFever’s mother, Melissa Goodman, and LeFever’s partner, Kayla Stemler.
With LeFever’s not guilty pleas, all four implicated in the case are set to stand trial for their role in the abuse of a teenager.
LeFever will return to court on April 20th for a pre-trial conference, while Walter and Melissa Goodman are due for theirs next week, and Stemler will be in an Outagamie County courtroom for further proceedings in early May.
