
Despite a disappointing end to the season, several Manitowoc Lutheran girls’ basketball players earned postseason honors from the Big East Conference.
Senior Lancers Makiah Krause and Marissa Mehlhorn each received 1st Team All Big East North honors, while classmate Abbie Behnke earned honorable mention status.
The Lancers were poised to make a second straight run to the state tournament, but they met their match against Kewaunee in the Sectional Semifinals.
Also receiving 1st Team honors were Mishicot’s Kensington Rosenow, Addison Stoeckigt of Howards Grove, and North Division Player of the Year, Autumn Crowe of St. Mary Catholic.
Reedsville had two players earn 2nd Team honors, namely Kortney Dvorachek, and Mercedes Grimm.
In the South Division, Oostburg dominated the 1st Team selections, with Ady Katterhagen leading the was as the Player of the Year.
She was joined by teammates Riley Ketterhagen and Kinsley Ketterhagen, as well as Samantha Veldkamp OF Sheboygan Christian, and Kohler’s Gwenn Elliot.
