The Manitowoc Lutheran girls basketball season came to a disappointing end last night.
The Lancers faced off against the Kewaunee Storm at Demark High School in the Division 4 Sectional Semifinals.
The Lancers held a 31-24 lead at the break, but a second-half surge by the Storm eliminated that lead.
The Lancers had a late push to get to within two, but could not retake the lead.
Marissa Mehlhorn led the way for the Lancers with 21 points, while her senior classmate and fellow 1,000-point scorer Makiah Krause accounted for 19.
With the loss, the Lancers end their season with a record of 22-5, while the Storm advance to take on St. Mary Catholic tomorrow with a trip to state on the line.
