The City of Sheboygan is offering its own late leaf collection event.
The City of Sheboygan’s Department of Public Works announced that it will collect leaves for the week of March 9th-13th, allowing residents to rake leaves left from last fall onto the street for pickup.
Normally, placing leaves in the street is not allowed, but a temporary exception is being made for the one-week cleanup.
Residents should rake leaves into the street between the 9th and 13th and keep piles slightly away from the curb to allow water to flow into storm drains.
However, no branches, sod, or other yard waste is allowed.
Like Manitowoc, their leaf collection event is due to the early snow last December, and some leaf piles were left behind.
Leaves can also be taken to the east gate of Sheboygan’s Recycling Center at 2026 New Jersey Avenue, which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
More information can be found on the City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works Facebook page.
