The Woodland Dunes Nature Preserve is recognizing four outgoing board members.
Charles Sontag, Tom Kocourek, Susan Knorr, and Bruce Robinson are stepping away from the board to allow new faces to step in and fill their roles.
Kocourek led as board president from 2011 to 2025, while Sontag has been with the board through thick and thin from the very beginning, according to Executive Director Sue Crowley.
She continues, saying that Knorr played many roles, from staff member to board member, to committee member, and to front desk volunteer.
Robinson was also thanked for his contribution of his expertise in building and grounds.
Mark McLaughlin has since taken over as president of the Woodland Dunes Board of Directors and has served as a teacher.
Logan Rooney will contribute to both the Development and Education Committees, and Joel Trick is slated to lead the Woodland Dunes property committee.
