
A drunk driver sent his vehicle airborne in Fond du Lac County, resulting in a trip to the hospital and OWI charges.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office reports that the crash occurred at around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon on Highway 45 in Osceola.
The 52-year-old driver was traveling north when he failed to negotiate a turn and struck an embankment.
He was ejected from the vehicle and had to be flown via Flight for Life to a ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah with serious injuries.
His medical status is unknown at this time.
The crash is still under investigation, but speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash, as the driver was charged with his third OWI.
