
The Milwaukee Police Department banning facial coverings for officers.
The policy change was adopted this week and bans officers from using facial coverings to conceal their identities.
The Milwaukee Common Council announced the change, saying it is part of the council’s ICE Out public safety framework and is aimed at transparency in policing.
Alderperson JoCasta Zamarripa described the update to WISN as being about “responsiveness, accountability, and trust.”
