A late rally from the #16-seeded Manitowoc Lincoln Ships boys’ basketball team wasn’t enough as they fell to the #17 Oconomowoc Racoons at the JFK last night 70-63.
The Ships were able to get within three points of the Coons after Oconomowoc took a 17-point lead in the second half at one point.
But the Ships comeback attempt fell just short.
Micah Kubsch led the Ships with 25 points in the loss, while Cade Grapentine had 17, and Colton Thorison added 10.
The Raccoons were led by Josh Platter with 19 points, 18 points were added by Mason Medina, and 16 points were chipped in by Carter Zimmerman.
The Ships’ season comes to an end at 9-16 overall, 5-13 in the FRCC.
Oconomowoc goes on to face the #1-seeded De Pere Redbirds on Friday.
