UW-Green Bay’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) had a record year in 2025.
The university marked the 45th anniversary of the center by closing out the year with the strongest performance metrics in history, serving 661 clients, providing no-cost consulting training, and strategic guidance to entrepreneurs and small business owners.
The activity led to 32 new businesses being launched, reinforcing the center’s ongoing commitment to helping innovators bring new ventures to life.
UWGB’s Small Business Development Center also reported substantial economic impact across the state, generating $48 million in capital infusion for Wisconsin businesses.
SBDC Tara Carr says the record-setting outcomes last year, “reflect the hard work of the entrepreneurs we serve and the dedication of our team. We are honored to contribute to the economic vitality of our region and state.”
The business development center serves 12 counties, including Manitowoc, Calumet, and Sheboygan, and helps businesses get off the ground.
