After the wildly successful inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival, organizers have begun preparations for its second rendition.
The Belladonna Film Project, the event’s organizers, has shared that they have begun accepting film submissions and sponsorship opportunities for the second annual Sheboygan Film Festival.
Currently, submissions for Wisconsin-based films and filmmakers are free until the Earlybird window closes on April 10th, with the regular deadline coming on June 12th, while the late deadline will be on July 17th.
While also noting that the first event was a massive success, Beah Travis, Chair of the festival Committee and Founder & Executive Director of the Belladonna Film Project, said, “Last year, we screened over 90 films from 23 countries and Puerto Rico across 11 venues. We sold over 1,200 tickets to visitors from 143 different ZIP codes, 25% of whom came from outside of Wisconsin…With that kind of success, we feel a deep obligation to serve the filmmakers and film lovers a second helping this year.”
As of now, every venue that participated in the inaugural event has signed on to participate this year, including the Weill Center, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and Paradigm Coffee and Music.
