A Plymouth-based, veteran-focused nonprofit from Plymouth has received major funding.
The Green Bay Packers Give Back organization has announced that Dogs2DogTags has been awarded a $125,000 Veteran Impact Grant.
Dogs2DogTags is an organization dedicated to supporting veterans experiencing PTSD and anxiety by pairing them with their very own highly trained rescued or donated dog.
The organization also does this at no cost to veterans. Dogs2DogTags was founded in 2016, and in that time, they have paired 38 veterans with dogs, which includes eight service dogs who were supported by nearly 10,000 hours of training and veteran instruction.
On the generous funding, Torre Willadsen, Dogs2DogTags Founder and President, said, “We remain committed to preparing Veteran-dog teams for real-world environments and long-term success, and we’re grateful for partners like the Green Bay Packers who help us continue that mission.”
The Green Bay Packers Give Back organization also handed out an additional $125,000 Veteran Impact Grant to Guitars for Vets which has chapters in Racine, Milwaukee, and inside the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.
