The woman accused of drunkenly shooting a man in the ankles was back in court yesterday.
Julia Gundt was before Judge Mark Rohrer for her preliminary hearing, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of 1st Degree Reckless Injury, and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, each with Use of a Dangerous Weapon, as well as Operating a Firearm while Intoxicated.
Judge Rohrer also found probable cause and bound her over for trial.
Gundt was arrested earlier this month after police were called to the 2000 block of Johnston Drive on a report of a shooting.
The victim told police that Gundt had been drinking that morning when the two got into an argument.
This escalated to Gundt grabbing a firearm belonging to the victim and shooting him in the ankles through the bathroom door.
She is next due in court on March 31st for a scheduling conference.
As of this morning, Gudnt remains in the Manitowoc County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
