Just days remain to apply to take part in a prestigious music recital in Sheboygan.
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is reminding students that the deadline to apply for the 56th annual Senior Honor Recital competition is on Friday (February 27th) at 5:00 p.m.
On the value of applying for this opportunity, the Arts Center explained, “This event gives graduating high school seniors with exceptional musical talent an opportunity to gain valuable audition experience while competing for a recital appearance at the Arts Center and monetary awards generously provided by Tricia Abbott-Marton and the Michibago Music Teachers Association, as well as a scholarship award provided by Lakeland University.”
Once applications close, auditions for the recital will begin on March 10th at 4:00 p.m. inside the JMKAC Theater.
Winners are then selected through the audition process and will be awarded a $200 honorarium as well as a $3,000 renewable Helen Boatwright Scholarship to Lakeland University.
