A Manitowoc woman was arrested after she allegedly punched a police officer during a drunken altercation.
Manitowoc Police were dispatched to a trailer in the 2000 block of Johnston Drive just after 10:00 p.m. last Friday (February 20th) on a disorderly conduct call.
The caller told police that their neighbor was heavily intoxicated and was pounding on doors.
While police made contact with the neighbors, they witnessed a different woman run screaming towards the suspect’s residence, and begin pounding on the bedroom door.
This person was later learned to be the adult daughter of the initial suspect, and both were said to be highly intoxicated to the point that the police could not ascertain what they were saying.
Due to their mental state, both women were placed in the back of the squad cars, but they were not arrested.
That is, until the second woman “took a swing” at one of the officers, buckling her in.
The woman was taken back out of the car to be placed in handcuffs, and she reportedly continued to resist, kicking an officer in the process.
While at a local hospital for a checkup, the woman also allegedly flailed while on the bed, removed her pants and underwear, and urinated on the floor.
She again kicked an officer while being taken to jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct and three counts of Battery or Threats to Law Enforcement.
