Former Milwaukee Brewers closer Francisco Rodriguez has been out of organized baseball for 10 months. The man once known as “K-Rod” was cut last June by the Detroit Tigers. Now, he is going to suit up for the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. Even though it is far from “The Show,” former big leaguers like Rich Hill — now with the Dodgers — Scott Kazmir and Stephen Drew have played in the seven-team league. Rodriguez is a six-time all-star who finished third in the Cy Young award voting in 2008. He has 437 lifetime saves.
