
High School girls’ wrestlers look to punch their ticket to the Kohl Center in Madison as the WIAA Individual Sectional will be held across the state tonight.
All eyes will be in Waupaca, where Two Rivers senior and defending two-time state champion Angie Bianchi continues her quest for her third straight title at 120 pounds.
Also, Manitowoc Lincoln senior Emjay Newmann looks to make her fourth straight trip to Madison, this one at 114 pounds.
She is chasing her second title after capturing a state title in 2024.
The first two finishers in each weight class qualify for the state tournament that starts next Thursday in Madison.
The competition in Waupaca is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
In WIAA Boys Division One Regional Hockey Finals tonight, Sheboygan South Co-op travels to Appleton to meet Xavier Co-op, Ashwaubenon Co-op visits Notre Dame, De Pere/West De Pere entertains Fond Du Lac-co-op and Neenah Coop welcomes West Bend Co-op.
