A chiropractor in Brown County looks to be changing his plea in a sexual assault case.
WFRV reports that 78-year-old Ray Roddan was back in Brown County Court on Tuesday (February 17th) for a status conference.
A judge set a plea/sentencing hearing for May 26th. Roddan is facing four misdemeanor charges of 4th-degree sexual assault after patients claimed he touched them inappropriately.
A criminal complaint alleges that one victim saw the 78-year-old for six to nine months and he allegedly had her unbutton her pants as part of treatment.
A second victim said the same thing happened to her and that Roddan would push near the victim’s crotch area, while a third woman claimed he would go under her leggings to push near her pelvic bone.
Investigators spoke with other chiropractors who said they were unfamiliar with treatment around the genital area.
Roddan told law enforcement that he “never does anything intentionally and that contact may have been inadvertent.”
