The City of Two Rivers has accepted a bid for the continued replacement of lead water service laterals.
Mammoth Construction will do the work for about $2.4 million and include 230 different areas on the near north side of the city.
Specifically, lead lateral work will be done from 23rd Street north to 31st Street, east of Forest Avenue, to the East Twin River, excluding a few areas proposed for future reconstruction.
Pavement restoration would be done by the Two Rivers Public Works Department.
Last year, work was done on the city’s east side south of 22nd Street and east of the East Twin Rivers, including on Harbor, 16th, and Emmet Streets.
In 2027, the city previously said work could be done between the East Twin River and Monroe Street.
