A Manitowoc man facing charges after being accused of making threats with a firearm has had his bail set.
37-year-old Daniel L. Meuret was given a $5,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch yesterday (February 16th) as he faces charges of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct, each carrying domestic violence enhancers.
Meuret was apprehended on Sunday (February 15th) after police received a weapons call.
Manitowoc Police learned that the 37-year-old made threats to another individual with a handgun before pushing them to the ground.
During yesterday’s bail hearing, it was also revealed that Meuret has been accused of pressing the gun to the victim’s forehead while making threats towards them.
Meuret was also ordered to have no contact with the victim or any premises where they may reside, and he is not permitted to possess firearms.
He will return to Manitowoc County Court on February 23rd at 1:30 p.m. for his initial appearance in Branch 3.
