A former staff member in Dane County is accused of improperly using school district funds.
According to Board of Education President Elizabeth Cook, an investigation determined the former employee at Monona Grove High School made about $38,000 in unauthorized purchases between 2023 and last year.
The individual reportedly resigned in October before the investigation began.
Officials say the former employee admitted to the purchases, and the district has since recovered the funds.
