A former teacher at Mishicot High School looks to be changing his plea.
Manitowoc County Judge Mark Roher set a plea date for 37-year-old Ryan Schroeder, who’s facing charges including repeated sexual assault of a child, second-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, and ten counts of possession of child pornography.
The former gym teacher was arrested in April last year after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student.
A criminal complaint noted that the two engaged in sex over 50 times when the victim was 14 and 16 years old, with 10 incidents allegedly happening at the high school.
The child pornography charges come from numerous videos and images on his phone showing the teen in sexual situations.
Schroeder is also facing federal charges of the production of child pornography.
The status of that case is not known at this time.
