
Bail has been set for a Manitowoc woman accused of drunkenly shooting someone this week.
29-year-old Julia N. Gundt was given a $25,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch yesterday (February 10th).
This comes as Gundt faces six counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, and one count of Resisting.
The 29-year-old was arrested after an incident that occurred on Monday (February 9th) in the 2,000 block of Johnston Drive.
According to a police report, Gundt and her significant other were drinking the night prior, and she passed out from her alcohol consumption
She continued in the early hours of Monday, and an altercation ensued.
During the altercation, she grabbed a firearm belonging to the victim and shot them in the legs through a bathroom door.
During her hearing yesterday, it was also revealed that at the time of the shooting, two children were inside the residence as well.
Gundt’s was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, the two minor children who witnessed the shooting, or any premises they may be, to maintain absolute sobriety, and to not possess any firearms.
She will now return to court in Manitowoc County for her initial appearance on February 16th at 1:30 p.m. in Branch 2.
