A woman charged with firing a gun in Manitowoc in 2025 will not plead in her case yet.
Court records show that 41-year-old Amy Duerwaechter was back in a Manitowoc County Courtroom last Wednesday (February 4th) for a plea and sentencing hearing.
However, a competency hearing has now been set for March 2nd.
The 41-year-old was arrested in April last year after Manitowoc Police were called to the 1600 block of Galax Drive on a report of a woman saying she was being threatened.
A criminal complaint alleges that the 41-year-old actually pointed a gun at someone and then fired it in the air.
The complaint also says Duerwaechter claimed that her boyfriend and others were performing “satanic rituals” at home.
She faces charges including 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, two counts of intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, and disorderly conduct.
